About Mike Vreeland
Mike Vreeland is the author of many humorous and educational children’s songs. His first cassette entitled “I Sing About Things” was released in 1995.
In 1999, Mike released “Are We There Yet?” on CD and cassette, his second collection of original songs written from a young person’s point of view.
Mike Vreeland has been a featured children’s performer on WJFF Jeffersonville, N.Y. (90.5FM public radio) and has been heard on My Green Earth, a nationally broadcast show that addresses environmental issues from a child’s perspective.
Since 1995, Mike has been a featured performer at the yearly Highlights for Children open house in Honesdale, Pa.
Mike has given many performances in the Sullivan County, N.Y. and Wayne County, Pa. areas, at schools, libraries, street fairs and festivals. His live shows invite audiences to sing along, keep rhythm, play clapping games, and more.
Mike is an elementary school teacher and has worked with children from preschool to grade six. He has also taught many songwriting workshops through the BOCES Adventures enrichment program. His songs are often used by teachers to add a musical element to learning in the classroom.
